Hello again. I'm posting to apologize for the delay in updating of our site. We are still learning how to navigate this site. We haven't fallen into the ethers just yet...there is still much to be done, much to share, and many adventures to be experienced. APAN is a new and growing organization. We want to provide you with the best support possible and do all we can to help. We appreciate your patience as we continue to build our networking and grow as a positive organization

With that being said, we would like you to share your thoughts about what you would like to see on this website and the APAN Facebook group. What do you feel would be most helpful to you and/or your loved ones?

With my first experience, I only knew the terms ESP and ghosts. Those were all I had to go on, to search for topics that even remotely addressed my questions. Little did I know just how much other "stuff" was out there: out of body experience/astral travel, premonition, spirit communication, empathic abilities, healing/energy work, astrology, divination, spirit guides, psychometry, and the list goes on and on and on.

Even though there are many forerunners in the field of spirituality, metaphysics, etc. (some who choose to call it "New Age," though much of the knowledge is far from new) this is still, in a sense, the new frontier, new adventures awaiting the explorers. We are those explorers. We don't have all the answers, and should not expect to have them all. None of the explorers we learned about in history class had all the answers either, but we wouldn't have learned that Earth is round had it not been for them having the courage and willingness to explore, along with the support they provided each other to keep moving through all their experiences, good and bad. That's what APAN can do for others. Together we can provide support as we go through this adventurous life. Some of these experiences can be scary, but you are not alone. Having a support group allows us to share our experiences, share our knowledge in dealing with similar experiences, and get past the fear.

Many of you may feel like you're in the alone in the dark, but you are not. We are lighting a candle, reaching out to help those of you who have felt like there was no where to turn for help, no one who understood what you may be experiencing. We are also reaching out to others who do understand, who are teachers, practitioners, or have simply learned how to deal with their experiences.

Let us know if you are interested in joining our closed group on Facebook. It's a safe place we can share our stories, thoughts, and strategies in exploring our experiences with what some call the super-natural.

Bright Blessings, my name is Tina and it is my pleasure to be a part of APAN.

Since I was very young I felt different. Things looked, sounded, and felt different. It has always felt to me as if I didn't belong. At one point I even asked my Mom and Dad if I was adopted, thinking that was the answer. In school, I always tried too hard to belong, but that caused problems. At the same time, however, I was drawn to the students who were left behind or being picked on. I was always standing up for them or giving a shoulder to rest on.

I was also very sickly, but the doctors could never seem to find a reason. Now after years of dealing with that, I realize that I am an Empath. There have been many times that I would take on other’s feelings of despair and illnesses, as if it were my own, not realizing it wasn't  Having someone explain that and help me learn to deal with empathic abilities has really been a blessing to me and my family. Now it is time to pass on the blessings and teach others how to work with and control this special and unique ability in ways that bring peace.

Although being an Empath was difficult, it could not compare to my other “gifts”. I see, hear, and feel spirits of all kinds. Let me tell you that, back when I was a child, saying that out loud could have severe negative consequences. Thank goodness we now live in an era where people are more profoundly aware.
My personal goal for APAN is to help people who have these experiences to realize they are not alone. All the experiences I have been through prepared me to be an advocate and assist others. I want to help others with their “gifts,” to understand their unique situation and work toward a positive and productive future.

Peace & Joy ~ Tina

Sometimes we get caught in a rut. We become stagnant and lose sight of our path. In that moment, it is important to become still (and believe me, I know how difficult it is to stay still) and pay attention to what is going on around us, but more importantly within us. Even if it is for just a moment, if we listen to that small, still voice within us, the one we truly know is always on the right track, we can hear or feel the pull toward the direction we need to go. Out of that stillness and attention comes growth and understanding.

There are three of us who will be posting to this blog: Tina, Donna and Kimber.

I am Kimber and very pleased to be sharing with all of you.!

A little about me and why APAN is my passion:
My experiences started when I was 13. First experience, long story short, I had a sudden and profound "knowing" that my great grandma was going to pass one day. I could not explain to them how I knew something like that, but I KNEW with every fiber of my being.
After crying, begging and pleading with my parents to let me see her, they dismissed my "knowing" and sent me to on to school. Just as I told them, she passed around noon that day.

Looking at it from an adult perspective: what a profound impact that would have on any child, to know something that strongly and no one believe, much less understand them! That was a major turning point in my life. It was the experience that set me on my search for understanding and the need to connect with others who understood or at least had similar experiences. Therefore, it has become my mission to do my best to make sure no child, or any one (for that matter), ever feels they are alone and do not have someone to help them understand experiences like that!

There have been times where I've gotten caught up in life and put my search on hold. However, when my oldest son came to me explaining his first experience, I knew it was time to "wake up" and get back on track. Since then, life has become an amazing adventure. I am excited to be living my life's passion, my purpose and sharing it with all of you. Thank you!

This site is under construction so please be patient and check back often for new content. We also appreciate feedback and ideas. Love, light and blessings to all.
